ATHLETE SPONSORSHIP
ATHLETE ROSTER
Katie McMillan
I have been a martial artist for over 12 years now. I am a 3rd degree black belt in Kenpo Martial Arts and also hold the title of Sensei (able to teach those below my rank). I will soon to be testing for my first degree black belt in Shotokan karate. In addition to this, I travel all around the world to compete in Martial Arts competitions and am the holder of 27 World titles and 20 National titles in several types of divisions. These divisions include traditional weapons (bo/staff), traditional forms, and CMX weapons and forms that include tricks done with the bo/staff and tricking/flips done as well. I am studying Biology and Neuroscience at the University of Massachusetts and hope to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist someday.

Eligibility for Athlete Sponsorship
Everything you need to know about becoming an FFM2 sponsored Athlete
- We don’t look at these partnerships as transactional—but transformational. Beyond the fiduciary responsibility that comes with being a sponsor, we’re committed to supporting athletes holistically.
- We approach media and brand promotion collaboratively. We like to understand what existing partnerships you’ve committed to so we’re not overcrowding your feed or uniform with more promotional material.
- Promotion isn’t our top priority, nor is it winning (though that’s always nice). What matters most to us is character. We invest in athletes who carry a good attitude, have a vision beyond the mat (whether that’s education or career-based), have an appetite for health and wellness, and who genuinely care about the cause.
- For the men on our roster, it’s about helping build a future where movements like ours no longer have to exist. For women, it’s about standing up and positively pushing it forward.
- What’s most valuable to us isn’t just winning. We invest in athletes that have a good attitude, serious about the education or off-mat career, athletes that have an appetite for health
WHY SPONSORSHIP MATTERS
Frequently
Asked
Questions
Got questions? We’ve got answers. Here’s everything you need to know about working with us.
What is Female Fighters Matter Too (FFM2)?
Female Fighters Matter Too is a nonprofit dedicated to leveling the playing field in martial arts. We provide financial support, resources, and visibility to help female athletes, and the allies who believe in them, pursue their goals and feel seen in every arena.
How can I apply to be a sponsored athlete?
Anyone! We welcome both female and male athletes because building equality in sport takes everyone’s involvement. Whether you’re a competitor, coach, or advocate, if you share our mission, we want to hear from you.
Where do donations go?
Every dollar goes directly back into the cause, from sponsoring athletes and funding tournament divisions, to supporting community programs, advocacy efforts, and merchandise that helps raise awareness. Nothing we do would be possible without our donors.
Can I volunteer even if I’m not a martial artist?
Absolutely. Passion and purpose matter more than your belt rank. We’d love your help. Email maggie@femalefightersmattertoo.com and let us know what you’re interested in contributing — from events to outreach to behind-the-scenes support.
Do you ship merchandise internationally?
Not just yet — but we’re working on it! Stay tuned as we expand our reach to support our growing international community.
